THE PIRATES SPOOF: PARTS 1 - 6

A Contest with a Man Named Vendetta...

Besides uploading clips of the ill-fated "Top stories" movie, Andrew also made other videos showcasing his impression, which included such acts as him advertising cologne and even a bottle of Jack Daniels liquor.

In August of 2006, Andrew's impression was challenged by another Jack Sparrow impersonator on YouTube, who went by the name "VendettaMan". Andrew had commented on one of his videos, stating that his impression needed work (although not saying it was bad). Taking this as a negative comment, VendettaMan decided to create a (soon to be) controversial contest, as to who the best Jack Sparrow impersonator was between the two of them. The contest spawned much debate and less-than polite comments, making the contest more ridiculous than it was supposed to be. In the end the contest ended in a tie, as revealed in Vendettaman's "Results video". Soon after, Andrew and VendettaMan became friends and put the contest behind them...sort of.

Andrew wasn't going to let the heat of the contest go without making fun of it - and so he embarked on what became a highly successful YouTube series - "Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Spoof: End of Contest Video". The title, less than catchy, told the viewer what they were going to see. Planned to be a three-part film (like VendettaMan's "Results Video" was), it would follow the story of Andrew as Jack, going after the results that VendettaMan had in his possession. After a large success with the first and second parts of the film, Andrew expanded the story, adding another part onto the series. However, deciding that he wanted to spoof more than just the contest and add in even more elements of the film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", Andrew went ahead and planned for two more parts, making it a six-part series, each originally estimated to be about ten minutes in length. "I kind of went crazy with the scripts...and now I realize maybe a little too crazy" Andrew says.

Filming the series wasn't an easy task for Andrew and his film crew. The new year of High School started in the middle of filming part two of the series, creating schedule conflicts and putting the third installment on delay. It wasn't until December of that year that Andrew had gotten up the fourth part.

After part four, due to conflicts with the actor who played the role of VendettaMan, Andrew was forced to re-cast the part. In August of 2007, Andrew had finished part five of the series (totaling to about 16 minutes in length, ending with a cliff-hanger), leaving only one more part to complete the series.

The final part of the series, titled "At YouTube's End", would wrap up the saga as well as parody "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End". The film would also introduce another new VendettaMan, due to another re-cast because the actor who took the place of the first one was not able to film as frequently as needed for the sixth part.

The next installment would be a large undertaking, and perhaps more overwhelming to complete than Andrew had anticipated.

At YouTube's End

"At YouTube's End" continues where Part Five left off, where we see Jack (and the results) get eaten by 'terrible beastie' and is apparantly sent to YouTube's End, according to Tim Dalma. Eric, Bootstrap, Vendetta Man, and Tim Dalma, make their way to YouTube's End, with the help of a new friend, to get Jack and the results back from the terrbile wasteland that is YouTube's End. But alas, what about DregJ?

This part is still in production, with it's share of difficulties. Problems affected the shooting for this installment from the beginning. A lot of his crew members (including Andrew) got more involved with jobs, school, and girls.

Andrew is unsure of the future for this part, whether is will ever make its way onto YouTube for his fans and viewers to watch in its entirety. "It's tough. We've been real busy and I don't want to cop out on this. I hope I can finish this film in its entirety, but if not, I will probably upload what I do have."

*UPDATE* - Andrew has stopped production on Part Six, due to pressing actor and schedule conflicts. Check his latest blog and keep checking his YouTube for updates.
